How to Quickly Test DDR RAM on a Laptop or Computer Without Apps

While upgrading your ram, you should pay attention to the type of ram, the type of ram, and the speed of the ram. Why should you consider the speed of the ram ? 

The two rams will automatically be set to a speed of 1600 Mhz for instance, if the first chip has a speed of 1500Mhz and the second chip has a speed of 2666 Mhz.

The following methods can be used to check the type and capacity of DDR RAM on your laptop or PC without needing an application :

1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

2. Insert the word "dxdiag" (without the quotations).

3. Click the "System" tab when the "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" window displays.

4. The overall RAM capacity of your laptop or PC may be found in the "System Information" section by looking at the "System Memory" column.

5. Click the "Memory" tab to view the DDR RAM model that is being used.

6. To find out what kind of DDR RAM was used, such as DDR3, DDR4, or DDR5, look in the "Type" column.

7. Look in the "Speed" column to see the speed of the DDR RAM that is being used to determine the RAM speed.

By using this method, you may quickly determine the kind, size, and speed of DDR RAM installed in your laptop or desktop computer without the need for extra software.
