Before using XAMPP to build a website, you must understand the fundamentals of XAMPP. The acronym XAMPP is made up of the letters X for Cross-Platform, A for Apache, M for MySQL or MariaDB, and P for PHP and P for Perl, respectively.
We will now talk about how to use XAMPP to build a website. The in question website is a WordPress localhost site powered by XAMPP.
Here is an example of how to create a website using XAMPP :
1. Get and Set up XAMPP.
Install XAMPP on your computer by downloading it from the official Apache Friends website (https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html). Observe the installation instructions displayed on the screen.
2. Make a folder for your website.
Create a website folder in the XAMPP installation's "htdocs" directory. According to the name of the website you wish to establish, you can enter a folder name.
3. Create a file called index.html
Under the newly created website folder, create an index.html file. The website's home page will be in this file. Make an index.html file using a text editor like Notepad or Sublime Text. This file can contain HTML and CSS code to show the website's appearance.
4. Start the Apache web server
By launching the XAMPP Control Panel and pressing the "Start" button on the Apache module, you can launch the Apache server. By default, port 80 will be used by the Apache server.
5. Website Testing
Enter "http://localhost/folder websitename" into the address bar of a web browser when it has been opened. Change "nama folder website" to the name of the newly formed website folder. The website's home page will appear in the online browser.
6. Website Upload to hosting
When the website is finished and ready to go, you may submit it to hosting so that people can access it online. A hosting company like Bluehost, HostGator, or GoDaddy are options.
